AIL Division 2B — Wanderers 34–20 Skerries RFC
Skerries RFC lost 34-20 to league leaders Wanderers in an AIL Division 2B fixture. Despite an impressive upset victory over the same opponents before Christmas, the visitors struggled against Wanderers' clinical performance, particularly in the first half. Wanderers showed why they are the team to beat in AIL Division 2B this season.
The hosts scored early through flanker Conor Fenlon, with Skerries responding through an intercept try by Tim Deering. Wanderers extended their lead to 21-10 by the 20-minute mark through continued lineout maul dominance. Skerries took to the second half impressively, with Darragh McEneaney, Paddy Finn, and Mikey Sherlock leading the way in typically physical fashion.
However, defensive scrambles by Wanderers frustrated scoring opportunities, including a disallowed try for Evann Shelley ruled in touch. Sam Deering scored late for Skerries under the posts, with final conversion attempts proving unsuccessful. Skerries hosts Clogher Valley the following Saturday at Holmpatrick.
