AIL Division 2B — Skerries RFC 32–26 UL Bohemian
Skerries secured maximum points in their second AIL 2B outing, defeating UL Bohemians 32-26 at Holmpatrick with a bonus point. However, the Limerick side's strong fourth-quarter comeback — earning two bonus points themselves — indicated areas requiring improvement.
Ronan Mulcahy opened scoring with a penalty (10 minutes), followed by Taidgh Keane Boylan's converted try for an 8-0 advantage. Kevin McGrath's try from a well-weighted pass from Paul O'Loghlen extended the lead to 15-0. After UL Bohemian's hooker Darren Ferrar scored from a maul, Jack Litchfield crossed for his first AIL try, with Mulcahy converting. An additional penalty brought the halftime score to 25-5. Darragh McEneaney's maul-derived try pushed Skerries to 32-5 with 25 minutes remaining.
The hosts subsequently reduced intensity, allowing Bohs to mount a comeback featuring tries from Ferrar, Padraic Nesbitt, and Jack Foley, all converted by Oisin Fagan.
