AIL Division 2B, Round 15 — Malahide 35–36 Skerries RFC
Skerries got back to winning ways on Saturday, as they secured a valuable bonus point victory away to north Dublin rivals Malahide. The encounter featured ten tries combined. Ronan Mulcahy, grandson of recently deceased Dr Bill Mulcahy, delivered an impressive performance with 16 points, including crucial conversions and a vital interception try. His audacious flick sent Jack Litchfield into the corner for an early score.
Malahide scored tries through Dave O'Halloran, Matthew Faulkner, Lee Byrne, Conrad Daly, and O'Halloran again. Skerries' other try scorers included Tim Deering, Cian McGuinness, Mikey Sherlock, and Darragh McEneaney.
Despite dominating portions of the match, Skerries faced a tense finale before prevailing. The victory marks their first win of 2025 and provides momentum ahead of their next fixture against Dungannon at Holmpatrick on March 22nd.
