πŸ‰ Skerries Rugby Club’s first ever #EnergiaAIL expedition to Fermanagh ended in disappointment yesterday, as the senior squad fell to a 29-21 defeat at the hands of high-flying newcomers, Enniskillen.

πŸš‘ In testing weather conditions, a slow start and a triple-whammy of injuries in a single first-half phase didn’t help the Skerries cause, with a converted score from Davey Goodman the only points as they turned around at 24-7 down.

πŸ§€ An early second half touchdown from Kieran Leonard, again converted by Joe May, provided a lift but the crucial score arrived in the 54th minute and went the way of the hosts, as they registered a bonus point fourth try.

πŸ˜” Dara Twomey notched a third converted score with 12 to play to leave the Dubliners with a sniff, but they were to be the last points registered in the game, as Skerries finished empty-handed for the first time this season.

🐐 Huge thanks to all those who made the journey to Enniskillen, to the ongoing support of sponsors, Linesight Halligan O'Connor Property Consultants Progressive Credit Union Ltd, and a special shout to club members who shared their photos from the match. πŸ™
